Before January 2020 many of us, myself included, had never heard the term coronavirus. I didn’t know that bat virus researchers were spelunking into caves around the world to try and find the next pandemic virus that could kill us all. The more I read their predictions, the more they seemed like self-fulfilling prophecies, instead.
Do you have any insight into white nose syndrome in North American bats? Since the rats have been swabbing bats for years, I cannot help but think the WNS isn't spelunkers from Europe not changing their shoes but more like stoopid researchers who couldn't care less what havoc they cause in what they believe are lesser creatures.
